MONITORING WAIVER FOR ASBESTOS (2020-2028)
On July 21, 2020, our water system was granted a waiver for asbestos sampling for the monitoring period 2020-2028.
As our customers, you have a right to know why we are not sampling for asbestos.
We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether the drinking water has or has not met health standards.

We will not conduct monitoring for asbestos because we have been granted a waiver by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). This waiver is based on our certification that there is no asbestos concrete pipe in the distribution system.
